Nice firepower, is there a reason to mount standard AC in 3058? XL has the best protection available and heat management should be easy, but don't alpha (that's pretty obvious )
3.5 maybe 4 with good fluff.

Idea behind the standard AC and 3 tons of ammo was to take advantage of the various kinds of special ammo available.

LIke I said, I just threw it together, I didn't change the date or anything. Once I get some ideas for fluff I'm going to set a proper date.

I like the long and medium range firepower. How about this Idea. remove the LRM 20. (You will still have the AC 20 and Gauss for the long hits) and replace it with a couple of SRM 6's for in close and city combat.

I was thinking of making a second mech to the series, once I figure out fluff and stuff, that's more suited to close in fighting. It'll be a little lighter and maybe faster.

Well, if you made it lighter and faster, then would it not be a compeletly diffrent mech all together?

Same series of mech ideas, but not another model of the same mech. Sorry, wasn't entirely clear.

AC/20 for the long hits (well AC/10 in 3058 era)
To those SRMs, are you sure that you want to take 1/3 of relatively slow mech's long range arsenal and exchange it for short range weapons?

It also already has 5 MLs for close range fighting.
As a side note, I tested it out in MM last night. Against a Victor (don't remember the model, BVs were close though) it won 2 out of 3 matches, against a... battlemaster I think it was, could have been a banshee it won 2 of 3 as well, although the one it lost was due to decapitation. These were played against another person, not the bot.

If you use HMPro, you need to go to the MM webpage and download a program there that converts the files. I don't remember if there are any other design programs supported. It tells you on the MM webpage as well. I don't have the address on hand, at the moment, but it's in the readme file.

Not bad. AC ammo must get out of the leg though. Too dangerous, and it detracts from the BV. But a decent design none the less.
