I always have to give careful thought to which of these two 'mechs to choose. The Centurion has a more flexible weapons profile, and carries more ammo (a blessing and a curse, I suppose), while the Enforcer has a heavier medium to short range punch, better armor, and superior mobility.
There are of course two considerations here. Which 'mech is better in a lance, and which one is better head-to-head.

Voted for Cent... I think that it should deal with Enforcer most often.
I must admit that I never tried it, but in difficult terrain ENF will probably be better.

I've never had cause to complain about the humble Centurion. It always works as a lance member with other 4/6 mechs. People ignore it if there's heavier mechs, so it gets to unload a lot of it's ammo. Lighter and faster lance members get a good chance to wreak havoc if the CN is the heaviest, as people dislike taking hits from that AC/10.
Not that it's bad in duels either. Last time we had a tournament-type happening the CN racked up a quite nice list of kills. For some reason the opposing mechs tended to lose their heads. One of the headless losers was a terrifying Ryoken C!

That's a hell of a kill for a Centurion!

I voted for the Enforcer more cause i like it better
i always found the Enforcer as reliable in fight whether alone or in a duel sure its got low ammo but if you take care those shots will be effective and thats what counts hitting not firing

I agree with you. I'd rather have jump jets and a large laser than no jump jets and an LRM-10.

Enforcer, every time I've seen it face a Cent, it won. Every time, even with a much worse pilot (though terrain favored it...).

Actually, the Enforcer carries slightly better armor.
As for the Centurion's LRM's, that's a double-edged sword. Sure, its got a longer range, but you've got minimum range as well.

Yup, I'm trying to play a few duels (me against me , I'm trying to recall the rules, I wasn't able to make myself to play for soo long)
The results so far:
map Desert sinkhole #2 - Cent managed to destroy ENF's CT as ENF attempted DFA (I tried to see the result of the DFA - it would crush Cent's head). Both mechs suffered heavy damage.
map Desert sinkhole #2 - Cent died shortly after crit to ammo bay. ENF suffered moderate damage (no internal crits).
BT 4th ed map - Cent suffered crit to AC early in the fight. It managed to inflict some damage with med laser, but was shot to pieces after some six turns.
*For some reason ENF was favored by dice often rolling 10s and 11s while Cent usually got 6s or 7s (bad with average pilot trying to avoid ENF jumping behind it)*

And since the Enforcer has the maneuverability to normally control engagement range... well yeah min range bites

And in duel the Cent can't gnaw upon ENF's paper thin rear armor if ENF pilot isn't drunk or something

In a small unit action though, the Centurion's LRMs can be useful...but the question is, are they as useful as the Enforcer's large laser? I'd say, probably not.

If Cent isn't center of the attention of the enemy unit, than it can stay away and fire LRM/AC salvos and provide effective fire support. ENF seems to be more straightforward. Try to get in range and overwhelm them with firepower. Using JJs to get behind the enemy must be done carefully, because ENF is one SRM salvo away from crits. Small amount of ammo will also be more felt when there are more mechs.

Although i vastly favour the Cent, i have to give it to the Enforcer here.
In a duel, the Enforcer is simply so much better due to it being more agile then the Cent, the low amount of ammo also will not hurt the Enf anyhow. However, in unit actions, the Cent is more versatile imo.
