Didect Upgrade. Plain and simple, not original, but I think that this would be the most probable way to improve the Archer for all IS powers.

Except for the CT lasers no longer facing the rear...
A good upgrade, not perhaps spectacular but solid and priceworthy. Good for people that are used to the old -2R models.
I'd still buy the -4M for the Artemis IV system. An Archer is supposed to hurt things with the LRMs, not try to duke it out with medium lasers.

You got me
Were you able to read it at all? Thoughts?
Thanks

I have to agree with you Nightmare. If my Taurians could produce it I would like to make them too.
Unfortunately we can't. We do not have extensive Endo facilities. Even in 3067 we only have it for the new Wasp, so I left it out.
We are familiar with Ferro fibrous armor though. We retro-engineered it and unlocked the secrets before 3050 and the Clans. So this is the means I really have at my disposal for "redesigns".
I would love to have the Artemis IV Fire control system also, awesome accuracy improvement, but as that is rather new (in 3067) for us I left it out also.
I upgraded the ML to ER versions, though I must admit to their being on the rare side also. It could easily be made with the standard ML everyone is used to already.
I reversed the CT ML's because I (personnaly) cant stand rear firing weapons. They are seldom used, and rarely needed if you are doing things right. Besides, it makes the mech much more heat challenged (like the 2R) after the missiles are expended.
I included the CASE system as any reasonably sane military commander would eagerly accept and demand the inclusion of such an awe inspiring ability to save lives and keep battle machines operating.
No Taurian designer worth his salt would consider leaving it out, since it saves lives and allows the warrior to fight on defending the Concordat just that much longer.
I am very pleased that you like the design. It isn't very inspired I agree, but I am limited on our available resources and abilities to produce advanced materials.
Thanks,
HC1

Ahhhhh!
I see. Thank You Vagabond.
I had forgotten that I had copied the original files from an HMP expoted item. I don't have it myself. My apologies for the error. I can and will gladly comply with the request in the future.

Believe me, I always regard a realistic approach as better than someone hauling together all sorts of restricted tech to build some über-mech. The TC usually build solid stuff instead of playing around with technical finery, and your -3R reflects that. Your longer explanation only makes it clearer.
You'd get high points on it for fluff, if you had actually bothered to write fluff for it.

Thank You.
Merci.
Gracias.
Danke.
Gratzi.
Arigato.
And how ever you say it in...??? Finnish?
I appreciate the critique.
Fluff I am not good with fluff
I can write it...
it just takes...
FOREVER... to get it right.
I can spin out technical data quickly...Ive been doing this since some time in 1986.
Thanks again.
