I like 3025 tech as much as possible. I will however mix it up a little with some 3050 or Star League tech, as in the Gunman, or this design the 100 ton Mjolnir. No fluff as of yet. I actually never wrote my own fluff till I came here. here are the basic stats.
Mjolnir
100 tons
walk: 3
Run: 5
Jump: 3
Internal: Endosteel
armor: 18 tons standard
engine: 300 standard
Heatsinks: 16 double
Armor:
CT 44/15
RT/LT 29/10
RA/LA 32
Rl/LL 39
Weapons:
PPC RA
LargeLaser RA
PPC LA
LArgeLaser LA
AC/20 LT
Ammo(AC)5 LT
Ammo (AC)5 LT
JumpJet RL
JumpJet LL
JumpJet CT
Heatsinks are 1 in each arm,and the remaining two in the RT. All other free slots are filled with ES criticals. The mech has no hands or lower arm actuators, so can flip arms if need be. _________________ one by one the rabbits are stealing my sanity....

Mjolnir is the fabled hammer of the Norse god Thor, son of Odin. The mech was designed to represent Thor's powers of Thunder and Lightening. It does this admirably with the lasers and PPC's providing the lightening, and the AC/20 providing the thunder. Initial testing has shown great promise for the design. though slow and ponderous, the jump jets give it improved mobility. the lack of hands and lower arm actuators give the mech a greater field of fire. The PPC's give the machine a decent long range punch, while the cannon is a sufficient deterrent for those who would try to close with the mech. The main flaw that was pointed out in testing was a lack of rear firing weapons. though the jump jets do make it more mobile, it is still slow enough that a determined and lucky opponent could slip past the big guns and make into the rear arc. These detractors were quickly silenced as they witnessed the arms of the mech flip under and then behind, and cut loose a murderous barrage of Large Laser fire on the test mech trying to demonstrate this "flaw"

Relax mate, try giving it some time
Oh and if you really want tabs on what people think... submit it to the custom TRO here.

I know. I have a bit of a problem with impatience at times. I have submitted several designs and variants to the custom TRO, but they have not been approved as of yet.

Oh, and also... it's spelled Mjollnir... with 2 Ls
I am a big fan of Norse mythology and I also used the Mjollnir a lot in an online RPG I used to play.
[edit]
For those who wish to know what it means....
Mjollnir: "That Smashes"
and it was made for him by the dwarfs Brok and Eitri
For more info check out:
Mjollnir from Pantheon.org
Grin.
Enjoy!

This would fit nicely into the aera of the first StarLeague!
Most of them had only a few upgraded equipment (ES and DHS in this case) while carrying standard weapons!
The Mech is slow (as would you expect from a 100 tonner) and heavily armored with a staggering array of weapons for almost all ranges. In the medium ranges you´ll have to have a close look at your heatscale despite that 16 DHS but with some minor firediscipline it wouldn´t be much of a problem.
The JJ´s are a nice bonus and the flipping arms can lead to a quick death for backbiters if you are willing to give opponents in front of you a break from your medium to long range fire!
All in all the MJL-1N (???) Mjollnir is a nice mech for the 2750 timeframe!

New Fluff for the GZT-2M Mjollnir. Still not as complete as I would like, but closer to what I had in mind.
Mjollnir is the fabled hammer of Thor. It's name means 'That Smashes', and the developers at Ground Zero Technologies hope that is just what the mech will do. It was first presented to the Star League defense forces shortly before that snake Stefan Amaris made his move. But we digress.
Capabilities:
Mjollnir was created with the intent of blazing through all opposition. It mounts dual PPC's and large lasers to help it accomplish this task at range, and a massive AC/20 to deter any who wish to close. Heat was an initial concern, but a skilled pilot should have no real problems. The mech mounts no hand or lower arm actuators. This detail was not noted in the original plans, and was unknown to the observers or the attacking test pilot during initial testing at GZT proving grounds as the physical appearance did not give any hint to the missing actuators. There was a bit of surprise when one of the test pilots maneuvered behind the Mjollnir, expecting no resistance, and was met with murderous laser fire as the 100 ton beast had swung its arms down and back and was now firing to the rear with both lasers and PPCs. The jump jets provide additional mobility to help the mech get out of most sticky situations. It carries enough armor to protect it in most engagements, and relies on its energy weapons when the auto cannon runs dry.
Deployment:
As the mech was about to enter production, Stefan Amaris made his coup. The design was forgotten in the ensuing bloodbath, and Ground Zero Technology mothballed the existing three completed mechs and closed it doors. Now, GZT is back up and running, filling orders for mech parts and weapons. The triumvirate of Mjollnirs were discovered and brought out of mothballs, and the design is currently being studied for potential large scale production _________________ one by one the rabbits are stealing my sanity....

Holy Crap! Seems That good ole' General Kerensky was able to make off with a copy of the plans for the Mjollnir!
Mjollnir IIC
Overview:
there has been an unverified report of the Mjollnir operating within the clans as a second line non omni unit. GZT has received an anonymous battlerom showing the design in action.
Capabilities:
The layout of the Clan Mjollnir is not that different from its inner sphere counterpart. The Large Lasers and PPCs were replaced with Clan tech ER PPCs and Large Pulse Lasers, which in the battle rom were stripping the armor of opponents with great ease. When one of the unidentified inner sphere mechs did get close to the mech, it was summarily dropped in its tracks when the AutoCannon 20 in the right torso of the mech spoke, revealing it to be of the Ultra class. the attacking mech fell back headless, and missing most of it's torso. The dead mech was then set ablaze by a new addition, a head mounted flamer. the ROM then shows the Mjollnir rising up on a triple pillar of flame, and landing about 100 meters in front of the recording mech. At this point, the feed goes to static.
Deployment:
The rom was received anonymously, and the quality of the video is such that the Clan in question is not readily identifiable.
Variants:
no known variants of this mech are known or available.
Game Notes:
The Clan Mjollnir still uses endosteel and double heatsinks. The weapons have been replaced with Clan variants, as related in the fluff. Dual ER PPCs and Dual Large Pulse Lasers, as well as an Ultra class AC/20 with three tons of reloads. 16 double heatsinks cool the machine, and it now sports a half ton extra standard armor, and a head mounted flamer. crit locations should remain basically the same as the inner sphere variant

Now, this is interesting. I can't decide if it reminds me more of a Marauder or an Awesome...or a Hunchback. Lyrans would LOVE this thing. (And so would Davions, if it kept the cannon.) Especially if you could design a variant with the heavy gauss instead of the AC/20. Twin PPCs and LLAS are a good combo from a distance...and that AC/20 will convince people to stay there.
My only real complaint is ammo. Ten shots is sufficient, but I like to have excessive ammounts with AC/20s. People don't give you many shots if they can helpt it, and any shot no matter how improbable, can be game ending. I usually shoot for 15, and like it best if there's 20. My personal thoughts though. (And come to think of it, I usually like to have 20 or more shots for any weapon if possible.)
The more subjective complaint is just the 100 ton chassis. This was years ago now, but Vagabond once lamented that pretty much every assault designed is 100 tons. That's minor though...especially since I am easily as guilty as anyone else. Quite possibly more so.
