I've taken a look at my TRO 3067 this evening and a question sprung up in my mind: What advantage or reason do have additional fixed heat sinks on Omni-Fighters? There are some examples of fighters carrying a weapon load that doesn't even nearly exploit their heat dissipation capability!

Sadly the additional fixed heat sinks aren`t even mentioned in the fluff!!! 
If there were any explanation in their fluff i hadn't asked

I think that Sabutai fighter fluff mentions something about basic heat sink capacity, poor heat dissipation and the need to handle this with additional heat dissipation units mounted on pods.

The Sabutai fluff says that the basic chassis has a very poor heat dissipation capability despite having 15 (!) fixed DHS's! That has been rectified by adding additional heat sinks in the different configs (as it should be on Omni-Fighters)
