I'm toying with the idea of saying that this is exclusive to Wolf-in-Exile. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

I like it as WiE, though I think it would be a standard engine, And for some reason I see it having a TC for the ERPPC's I dont know why but that seems to fit for some reason. _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". If I ditched the standard engine, I wouldn't have enough tonnage for the present weapons load-out, let alone a TComp. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." That would require mixing technology types, as the light engine is Inner Sphere alone. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

Which for the WiE wouldn't be that hard to do...they after all are out side of the normal conventions given their status as TPTB pets etc... _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Let me clarify, I dont mind the XL, just everytime I have designed something for WiE with a XL I have been blasted with "They couldnt build them so it should have that". Personally I like it as it sits. But I would say maybe drop the JJ's and a couple ER meds for the TC. (not a huge fan of the TC but forsome reason I see it having one. _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". Hold on how can they NOT be able to build XL engines? They didn't leave everything behind and it's clear that they brought blueprints and computer cores with them, so I think that they can build Clan style XL engines without an issue.
The Dragoons on the other hand, would be more limited in this area and while they could (and have) pull it off they would still be limited in number and thus their mechs would be more inclined to be of a mixed tech as far as engines go. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

That was my thinking as well. But that was the response I got when I posted my older designs. Personally I didn't by it then and I agree with you on the engine assessment. Personally fluff said they brought as much with them as they could so after a year or 2 to get established, they would be building any and every thing they needed.
And Phelan wasn't a idiot, with Morgan's help they would become the premier force in the universe. I am actually surprised they haven't absorbed the kell hounds and renamed themselves the Kell Wolves, or the Wolf Hounds, (NOT condoning that change but given tptb decision making process I could see it happening) _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". Now that is an interesting idea and something that maybe we should look at doing here ourselves as an abstract kind of thing.
One thing that has always been there have been artificial restraints on both the Hounds and the Dragoons, thus while they are both munchy and very unbalancing when used by players they both have things that keep them balanced and thus not the major power player that they could be and that is something I like. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato
