Cruise Speed: 75.6 km/h
Maximum Speed: 118.8 km/h

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
Simple and elegant, the Fox offers a solution for those units who need patrol
and mobile fire support units but can't afford more expensive vehicles.
The trio of RL 10s mounted on the Fox allow for it to engage targets without
exposing itself to the return fire; few weapons can reach as far as the RL
10s. A lone Fox can sting opposing units into possibly pulling back, while
groups of Foxes might convince larger units to withdraw.
A lone machine gun in the turret is there to help the Fox engage infantry that
might come too close to it.
==Capabilities:==
Game Rules:
Treat the Fox as an L2 unit even though it's tagged as L3. I needed to set it
at L3 to get the armor to round off to the nearest .25 tons instead of the
nearest .5 tons.
==Variants:==
Some commanders have voiced the opinion that the machine gun is largely
unnecessary. As such, a popular field modification is to remove this machine
gun in favor of two more RL 10s, one of which is mounted in the turret. This
version would serve as fire support for units that do have the machine gun.

Either one of the Cobra vehicles from GI Joe or one of the new versions of the Transformers... _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

New episodes of the cartoon were halted in the middle of 1987 due to an apparent dispute between Sunbow (who had been doing the series) and DiC (who underbid Sunbow). DiC let the franchise sit idle until the fall of 1989, as that's when Sunbow's contract to produce animated ads for the toys and comics ran out. As such, except for those characters used in the Movie the only 1987 and 1988 characters to appear on TV were the redone versions of Cobra Commander and Destro; none of the vehicles from that time period were ever used.
It was used briefly in the comics (the first appearance was somewhere around issue 72) throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s; the last time I recall it appearing was when a combined Joe / October Guard task force was sent in to deal with Darklon's forces in Sierra Gordo.
The driver, Skidmark, was killed off during a story arc in the Devil's Due run of the comics in which the Joes attempted to capture Cobra Island. His death is somewhat controversial, as he was being used as an infantry soldier (instead of a vehicle driver) and he wasn't explicitly shown as dying; a helicopter was shown crashing right by where he and some generic grunts were, but from what I understand there were no bodies shown. The deaths during the Cobra Island and Red Shadows arcs - especially the deaths of Flash, Chuckles, Mainframe, and Lady Jaye - have resulted in a backlash against DD and calls for the continuity to be rebooted. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat."
