It's a condition in cats that not much is known about called feline cutaneous asthenia, mostly affecting female cats, causing an abnormal growth of skin on the back. It is thought to be a skin condition but most cats with that disorder show some movement of those "wings", suggesting that there is nervous tissue present in those skin pockets as well. Like a skin disorder, the "wings" can grow larger from stress, though I highly doubt the cat was stressed by female cats in heat. _________________ "I love deadlines.
