So, okay. I know there used to be a distinction.
Aerotech is the old name for the atmospheric and limited space rules for Battletech that eventually evolved into Battlespace including all its rules for warships, naval weapons and the such, right?
My same friend that is getting back into Battletech also mentioned Battlespace.
Has anyone played it enough to be familiar with how it plays? Fun? Worthy of the Battletech universe, etc? _________________ "Historians exercise great power and some of them know it. Hi Talen! Hi guys (seeing as I'm returning from yet another hiatus...)!
I've never actually played the games, but I've read the rules for both Battlespace and Aerotech 2. The latter evolved out of the former, there are strong parallels to them.
I believe the biggest change in rules (both game mechanics and construction) came between Aerotech and Battlespace.
The ruleset currently up to date is Aerotech2 revised.
Personally, the reason why I read the rules is because of the rich background and fascinating designs, which are definitely worth being included in the BT universe. And I was quite fond of the rules themselves. To actually know how much fun the game is, I'd have had to try it out; as it is, I'm lacking any proper gamers in my area myself.... _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

I played sometimes AT and AT2 and i love this game, but is really hard to find players. So basically if I have time i spend it playing CBT.
The distinction among BS and AT2 is more less the same as for Battleforce and
Battletech.
