Okay below you will find my versions of some German WW2 AFVs. Please note that while I tried to stay close to the actual weights, I did use some of the more modern tech BT offers, i.e. XL engines, Ferro, Ultra Cannons etc...now for some this may not be what you want, and that is fine, the idea was to make something similar yet fitting for BT's universe. These were originally for my New Rim Worlds Republic group, but the idea went stillborn due to a couple of folks helping me moving out of Michigan and thus I didn't take it any further.

The Kramferwagen I found mentioned as a light armored car in a badly written book about WW2 German armor, the book did have some cool pictures and color drawings, it was older like published in 1958.
The picture shows what looks like a 6 wheeled armored car with twin 20mm guns and what looked like 3 machine guns, then they had another picture showing it with a single 37mm gun.
I borrowed the name and ran with some ideas for it, going with lasers and the basics of the original. Personally I think it's a bad translation of something else and the author isn't one of the more well known writers on German WW2 Armor. Does it look like this and this?

The German war effort was both overt and covert, with the Germans using a great many non-military industries to cobble together arms units. Putting a big gun on a freight truck for example; or a sidecar with a SMG on a motorbike.

I think that they used such vehicles before allied started with bombing. Placing guns on civilian chassis could be a necessity, since they were forbidden to make most of war material before the war, so many of their designs were created under civilian guise. Heinkel 111 was for example presented as a post / light passenger carrier. For blitzkrieg they needed many guns that could be able to fire without lengthy deployment time and keep up with tanks and motorized infantry, which were new at the time. So finding a chassis that wouldn't be manufactured by their military hardware producers was vital, since the military factories were busy churning out tanks and other more sophisticated vehicles. Motorized machine gun was also quite useful as a scout with some firepower and as a raider. I think that the sidecar offered better mobility in Europe, where a net of roads was pretty good and it also was cheaper to produce, had lesser fuel consumption and last, but not least, was made elsewhere than in factories that produced other vehicles... _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Are you from Texas?
Maybe Karagin uses them outside the BT unierse?
There is no fluff on my tanks because this tanks weren't constructed for use in the BT universe but to play some WW II battles with the BT rules.

These can be used in or out of the BT universe. I have used them against mechs it was fun for the afternoon game. In my BT universe, these would be used by a group called the Co-Alliance, which is made up three major powers and about a dozen smaller ones all fightings the power house called the Karagin Empire.
Stories for these would be great, but I really don't have any fluff ideas for them at this time.
Now if someone wants to play WW2 using BT rules for vehicles or something similar yet set in outer space etc...then they have the chance to have some really cool tanks and armored cars and SPGs to use... _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato
