==Overview:==
As the nature of combat changed and weapons evolved, Quikscell found itself
farther and farther behind the curve. While staples such as the APCs and
weapons carriers continued to sell well, units such as the Hetzer and Scorpion
became unpopular among front-line outfits due to their obsoletion and other
related issues.
The production of the Clampdown and Priest tanks have helped to correct this
trend, but have not been wholly sufficient. As a result, Quikscell is banking
on another version of the Scorpion known as the Scorpion MK II to help turn
things around.
The MK II represents a partial fusion with the Clampdown, in that it's now
fitted to carry a platoon of infantry. But the turret has been redone. It's
been streamlined and shaped around a new load-out: a UAC/2 and an RL 10. The
two weapons provide a fair amount of long-range punch, allowing it to provide
fire support for the infantry, who will presumably function to sweep away any
OPFOR infantry or battle armor.
The MK II is still undergoing field testing, but the execs at Quikscell appear
intent upon getting this to market ASAP regardless of results.

1 ton infantry bay... well okay
4/6 ... not exactly the fastest thing around, but it may work, no improvement
Can withstand a gauss hit / PPC from the side... okay, no improvement
RL10 one shot, not much firepower + UAC/2... if this is to be used against infantry then it's insufficient and against armored targets it may be ignored, but the UAC asumes that the infantry will fight in the open with clear line of sight on tem, which they shouldn't under any circumstances. The same goes to BA with the exception that they'll probably laugh at your guns.
It's inexpesive, so militia would take it, front line units will probably look elsewhere. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Or it could just park itself somewhere and snipe, enabling its infantry to either move through the terrain or stage an ambush. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." With 1 ton of infantry you'll need a full lance of that vehicles to field one platoon.
I would either drop the RL for the ability to transport two infantry squads, or i would drop the RL and infantry bay for 2 MG plus 100 shots of ammo. _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!' So you need a full lance of vehicles...that is normally what a mechinized infantry needs...the idea that you want to put a whole platoon in a single vehicle is very crazy and even more so with the BT rules bias against vehicles.
BOOM, one simple hit by even a MG can turn your platoon carrying IFV or APC into a fireball and you are out the entire platoon plus the vehicle.
Where as with Karken's idea you have to kill four vehicles to wipe out the platoon...makes more sense to me.
All Karken did was take the Merkava idea or the Goblin and give it to the Scorp. Which means it is now bordering on the lines of an IFV then a true tank, but either way it's clear that this a infantry support unit as well as an APC. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Which would give you a chice to move your troops in the open and thus make them vulnerable, or risk the loss of LOS _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!
