Hey All!

I've been a long time reader, but this is my first real post! Is there a good mech design program available for Macintosh? Most of what I've seen is Windows based. Question

Thanks!

I know FASA put out one for the Mac way back when, but I haven't hear of any new ones for the MAC have you checked the Download Section here under the Ministry of Intelligence banner under the You have visited section left of the big MORDEL.NET banner?

Well...

www.pryderockindustries.com/dl_mech.php

MechSpecs 3.3

However... I had a buddy in Grand Rapids who was running HM Pro under one of the windows emulation layers for Mac. This was several years ago though, so I have no idea if it would now or not.

Proficient with both Mac and PC systems, I can honestly say . . .

Get a PC.

Yes, it's an age old battle between two former friends who went their different ways to become billionaires and dominate the world.

Yes, I'm picking on the new guy.

Yes, it's easier to find software for a PC. Thats actually the reason I prefer them.

Actually, another option is to use Crossover to run windows programs on the Mac Wink

I'd be curious to see if HM Pro works under both Crossover, and Cedega...

There's a chance my submission module here will work on a Mac. Smile

Once I work out the PDF generation part of it, you'll have all you'll need.

Good point Wink
However... it would still be nice to be able to use HM Pro on both Mac and Linux/Unix boxen.

We got any Mac users on here who have crossover and can test? Wink

Another option is to use a browser based mech editor.

http://remlab.marchtwenty.com/build.lab

I use this mech editor on a mac, and it works well. Printouts are servicable, and there's even a nifty option for creating your own readouts. The only downside is that you've gotta be online.

Another web 'Mech designer!! Not bad, but I still like mine better. Though I have to admit to being a little biased. Smile
