Okay, right now this house can field a full Star of light vehicles. The 2 scout cars are a '66 VW Bug and a '71 BMW. The BMW is not working, right now. Then the General Purpose machine is the Corolla, the interceptor a '68 Cougar and the Command vehcile a 1996 Chevy Blazer.
Now, last night, all but the BMW were working. Then my brother burnt out his VW engine. Not cool. Today, he was driving looking for a bug engine, and blew the Corolla engine as well.
Here is the interesting part...all the foreign cars are broken down right now, but the American cars are fine! Whats with that! Its not supposed to be that way!

I've never had issues with "American" cars (I say "American" because both of mine were made in Canada )

Well, I always make the joke that the Blazer has been in the shop more than the Corrola, and we have had the Corrola longer. But now...ewww

I have bought 2 new Chevy's in my life, a Metro and an Impala.
I've never had huge problems with either of them. Had 2 recalls with the Metro and both were handled very quickly (combined cost on the 2 parts would have been under $5 had I had to pay got it them), and there have been no recalls on the Impala.

This is the first time anything has happened to the Corolla, but the Blazer has been in more times in 6 years than any car I have known, aside from the Dodge Caravan we had.

Nah, I don't think he drives it that often, which may be the reason why it's hardly ever in the shop

3 excellent Toyotas later (Corolla, Pickup,Sienna) you could never convince me to buy another brand. And especially absolutely never a Pontiac!

I used to have a '72 Cougar. Fine automobile that was! 357 Cleveland engine in it. Sport suspension. It was a little more than an 18 year old should have had. God, how I miss her!

I love my Corolla. Never had any problems with it (apart from when ferrets get into the engine for a cable-feast.....it happens in my parts of the world.....). It drinks between 7 and 8 litres, very reasonable. And it WILL do 170-180 on the autobahn, if needed (100-110 mph). Also, if you flip over the back seats it will hold a bike, or two cellos or half a house-hold! So nothing against Corollas.....and this is coming from a German!!!!!! _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior
