I really like the design; simple, inexpensive, and to the point--screams Taurian to me.
Though, if I were to use one, it would definately be the BDT-2A model. It might not have the raw firepower of the SRM-armed -1A, but having 21 hexes of range more than makes up for that.

Which reminds me, I've been meaning to say something, but flake that I am, haven't gotten around to it: I've really been enjoying this series of Taurian 'Mechs. They seem well designed. I'll try and get a more in depth review of them when I can, but I don't think that will happen for a while given how busy I've been.

I like LRM-5s too. I've even converted the SRMs of some official designs to LRM-5s
