==Overview:==
A no-nonsense helicopter, the Lakota has one single purpose: find targets and
eliminate them. Without mercy.
Although slow for a helicopter, the Lakota more than makes up for it. It has
armor on par with a light mech, allowing it to take an AC/20 blast to three of
its four facings and still keep flying. It has twin LRM 5 and SRM 4 racks,
with a ton of ammo for each; this allows for the use of specialty munitions
such as thunder and inferno. Backing this up is a pair of medium lasers, one
of which is rear-firing just in case someone decides they want to play around.

==Variants:==
This variant, the 101R, was put forth as an extension of the "find targets and
kill them" mentality. For this, the missile racks are stripped out and
replaced with a RAC/2 and two tons of ammunition. This allows the unit to lob
round after round for several minutes at a time, thus forcing any potential
target to keep its head down. A single SRM 2 launcher has been added as a
back-up weapon.
This version is unofficially nicknamed "Crazy Horse."

==Variants:==
This variant, the 101C, was designed as a flying battlefield command vehicle.
Its C3 command system is mounted on the pod bays where two of the launchers
used to go. To both provide long-range firepower and serve as a
counter-weight, an AC/2 and a ton of ammo were mounted on the other two pods.
This allows the unit to stand back and snipe, thus keeping out of range while
fulfilling its duties.
This version has been unofficially dubbed "Sitting Bull."
