For the yellow one, I was thinking of some patches of green and redish-brown splashed around it. On the other mech, my wife calls it the Birdman of Alcatraz after we got done painting it, I was thinking of some black and maybe red markings for unit type etc...basically looking for ideas. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

My thoughts x the yellow one:
1st: you should clean up this molding line on the right shoulder,it is really disturbing.
2nd:why add more colors?Try to give more deep on details at the colors that you give already with a wash of ink brown very diluted with water and future floor,is a nice desert camo why going to messed up with red and green patches ?
Add some gun metal to the weapons barrell and put some black to the feet when the ink is dried, and than highlight the brown and tan with a lighter shade ,floak the base and give some shade to the cockpit and tha's all.
Hope this help.

For the yellow one, I agree that if you do a dark-colored wash you'll do the most for the paint job.
If you do want to add red or green, do so in the form of a unit insignia or other markings.

For the first one, get some blue or gold to help break up the colors. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)
