If a unit uses all of its ammo during a tournament, then it's at an unfair advantage especially if it's in combat with an energy equipped unit. What do you all think?

If by "tournament", you mean "individual battles", then the presumption is that the pilots would be reloading between battles, thereby rendering the rule needless.
But if you're talking about being able to fight an entire battle w/o worrying about ammo, then that would actually make the game balance *worse*. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." I would have to agree, Unlimited ammo is an completely unfair advantage. Hell, if there where such a rule, I would take a huge advantage of it and grab the biggest ammo hog in the book and clear the broad with it. The Vulture B comes to mind. as does most of the Timber Wolf designs, The Night Gyr D.
But to really cheese the rule, choose a Marauder II the MAD-4H variant. with it's 10 OS Rocket Launchers. That would be enough to convince most people to agree on limited ammo. _________________

I think you've asked a silly question. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

I meant official tournament games. Energy weapons can be used infinitely except for the plasma rifle since it uses ammo.

A funny card game, no? I still don't know whether nicewitch wants to have ammo unlimited in tournament rules or thinks that the ammo is unlimited (not true of course) at the moment and wants to ban that. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

I'm still not sure he's playing the same game as us! _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Actually Sleeping Dragon, it makes no difference to me if in tournament games units are allowed infinite ammo so they'll be on a par with energy weapon equipped units. I was just wondering what you all thought. And friends, I'm a woman, by the way.

They are on par with energy weapons. To give ammo dependent weapons unlimited ammo their weights and critical slots would need to be great increased to maintain game balance. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

If you say so. I've used a Hussar to defeat my boyfriend's Hunchback many times. Usually I get an ammo or AC/20 hit on his Hunchback.

Congratulations on defeating a stock Hunchback by using the very basic tactic of capitalizing on superior speed and range. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Well, my boyfriend, is now hiding his Hunchback behind a hill, so I can't use this tactic anymore.

If he's hiding it doesn't matter what weapons you have, does it?
BTW, why didn't you use the same name here as you do on Battletech.com or Sarna? Not that you're required to of course, I'm just curious. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com
