Has anyone played Return to Castle Wolfenstein? It is a great game and brings back the old past-time of killing nazis. IT also has much better graphics now, the faces have more than 9 pixels!

I think Talen was talking about that game a while back. If that's the game then he liked it.

I waited for that game for some time. I knew it would be an all time favorite as soon as I stepped up onto a balcony, heading for a door and the door opened as three germans walked out right in front of me. I gunned one down and the other ducked back inside, one popping out only long enough to fire a burst from his MP-40 right into my face. I died. YES!!!
And then Allied Assault came out, lots of smart AI Nazis and NO ZOMBIES. YES!!! YES!!!
I'm not into the boss creature, instead of one uber creature just throw a whole platoon of SS infantry at me.

Thats why I like Day of Defeat. PLay WW2 against real people. I dont shoot too many Nazis though, i prefer the axis guns. I dont know how the Allies won the war using the Garand.

Because it was ten times better then the stupid KAR 98. I don't know why you perfer it, it was a stupid annoying weapon. Now, the MP-40 on the other hand was a beautiful thing, and the KAR converted to carry a sniper scope was a beautiful thing as well. But in hand to hand combat give me a M1. Not only does it have more ammo, it can fire it faster, and its heavier for the clubbing action.

The Kar had more accuracy than the Garand and was more powerful. As a Sniper (thats what the "Camping" part of my name is for any gamers) i like accuracy. I love the MP40, though. A Stg44 or BAR have too much recoil. Of course when you come up behind sand-bagged .30 cal, there is nothing better than hitting them in the head with a shovel.

The Garand in Allied Assault can be a challenge to use. Just like the real weapon, you cannot reload a partially spent clip. So unless you are willing to blow off lots of rounds just so you will move out again with a full 8 rounds, you have to learn how to use that ammo carefully and be ready to duck behind something to reload.
And if you insist on not wasting even a single round, things can get real interesting.
In Wolfenstein my favorite was the FG-42, the paratrooper rifle. But in both I just loved the sniper rifle, did at least half of my shooting with just that in either game. _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson

Same with the Dod Garand. In RTCW im stuck on the stupid SuperSoldier. Panzerfaust(sp?) should not be used on a single infantry man!

I played through both games some time ago. But now when I feel the need to shoot Nazis again I often find myself cruising the street with my good old .45 just for the hell of it. _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson

Here is the funny part...whenever the Senate or angry parents bring up the violence in video games debate, they always go for Doom. There is an obvious reason for that, as Doom was uber-popular. But it would not have been succesful except for our friend Wolfenstein 3d. But nobody complains about killing Nazis. Serious...NOBODY complains about killing Nazis!
In my opinion, Wolf3d is the best game ever made for the reason alone that one of your missions is to kill Hitler...a person that needed to be killed several times over because even he gave assholes a bad name.
RTCW is awesome, espicially multiplayer. It doesnt work on my PC (big suprise), but its fun. I personally like anything that shhots fire...like the flamethrower in the above cartoon.
Havent played the new MoH games...but there is one hitting PS2 soon, and it supposed to kick some major Nazi ass.
Anyways...there ya are

Everyone tried to kill Hitler. Even members of the German High Command. Not one worked, and he had to ruin everyones fun and do it himself.

I don't know what u were drinking when u posted, but i think u meant that there are 9 polygons on the face... not pixels... God I'd hope there'd be more than 9 pixels....
Just to be technical.....
I got the Multiplayer Test Demo, and i couldn't put it down... one of my bro's friends owns it, so i'll just burn me a copy of it... It'll be a nice change to the LAN days.

You're wrong too. The original Wolf3D used Sprites, not polygons. Just to be technical....
