I've updated the custom unit submission to support OmniMechs. It ended up being quite a bit of a redo on some of the design, so would appreciate any help I could get playing around with design (omni or otherwise) to ensure I didn't screw anything up!
With OmniMechs, it's true support whereby you create a BASE configuration first. The BASE configuration will not be viewable as it isn't a complete design. To create an OmniMech you either load the BASE configuration or any other design which was created as an OmniMech. For example, once you create your A configuration, you can create any other configurations by loading BASE or A.
To support omnimech designs, I was also able to tweak my distribution assignments by allowing designers to move and replace things like side-mounted XL Engines, Stealth Armor, etc. The distribution screen will now color-code the criticals and will also tell you, prior to trying to distribute, if there are any restrictions. So when you remove the XL Engine from the left torso, you'll see XL Engine listed in the Needs Distribution table with a Restriction of 'Left Torso'. You won't be able to place it anywhere else!
I'm going to start re-creating the Omni designs in the Sources I've completed (just 3055 & 3058 at the moment) and will update others as I continue to go through them.
I'd love any feedback you may have as well as any issues you find (obviously).
