==Overview:==
Much like the Cappellan Confederation's Snake, the Yeoman suffered heavy losses during the Jihad due to the mech's sole reliance upon ammunition-based weaponry; once the ammunition was depleted, the mech was nothing more than a large, slow-moving target that could only hope to kick at any attackers as it tried to retreat. 

Adding insult to injury was the fact that while the free Free Worlds League units were running desperately low on ammo, the Blakist forces came to enjoy the Yeoman because they had the ammunition stores needed to make the most of of the design's fire-support role. 

As a result, Commanding Admiral Adrian Drake, the de facto head of the Free Worlds League, personally made it clear to Curtiss Militech that the Yeoman would be a dead design if they did not attempt to rework it. 

==Capabilities:==
Although somewhat controversial, the decision was made to drop the two LRM 10 launchers in exchange for MRM 10 launchers and replace the Ferro armor with standard armor. Although this dropped the maximum range of the machine, it freed up desperately-needed tonnage and internal space that, when combined with an XL engine, allowed for the mech to become what it is. 

By going for an XL engine, the designers were able to speed the mech up enough to make it less of a target; the addition of an ECM suite also helps to protect it from enemy fire. 

Moving the launchers to the arms also allowed for a far greater range of fire as the mech could engage targets situated behind it as well. 

Curtiss also made the decision to add a trio of medium lasers to provide the mech with point defense and enable it to withdraw to the resupply point in event that it did indeed run low on ammo. 

Only time will tell if this new Yeoman will be sufficient.
