has anybody else heard of this movie? Here is the tagline for it
"When an alien attack threatens the Earth's existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace."
Tell me that doesn't sound like a B-Tech novel? _________________

OK, maybe it's more like a mix of B-tech and Voltron. But with effects like this. they should easily be able to make a decent Battletech movie. _________________

Ahh, now I remember the preview. Yes, I was thinking the same thing. The ability is there to create a great BT movie. And with the amazing special effects that would be included and some of the canon in the universe, it could be great! If only... _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

It could happen. After all, Jackson took Lord of the Rings and made a very successful franchise from a series that had only mediocre success in the media. There is no reason that someone with the same vision in the B-tech universe could have the same success.
Off hand I would peg Joss Whedon to bring it to life. his work on FireFly and Serenity shows that he can do the whole dark gritty look without over doing it. as well as meshing up different cultures. _________________

Plus you'd have an instant fan base based solely on the fact it was Joss Whedon. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
