Help! Not just anybody. Help ya know I need someone to help meeee.
I have lost my copy of Heavymetal Aero, and because of that and the fact that it was on my old computer which is dead now, I cant just do this my self. So I thought I would come over to my friends here at Mordels and ask for a favor. I need someone to get me stats on a couple of custom units.
1. a Colossus. the changes are going to be minor, but I need to see what happens when the bays are changed around. There are a few things I need in it.
A. room for 16 mechs with a repair bay that can accommodate up to 100Ton mechs.
B. the same for vehicles but up to 36. with a repair bay up to 100Tons
C. infantry bay can stay the same.
D. an added Fighter bay for up to 4 fighters with a repair bay up to 50 ton.
The second unit I need is a modified Centurion aerospace fighter. Its old and 30 tons, mounts 3 ML and moves at 10/15. I would like to get it better firepower at roughly the same speed if possible. but a couple of LG lasers would be ideal. If you need to you can play with the speed a bit but nothing under 8/12.
These are both going to be used in my book. the back story is they have been in the Boneyard. located in the Mojave Dessert in mothball now for 30+ years. they are going to be refitted, which should be done at a fraction of the cost of buying new equipment. _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". Ok, so if i am understanding the request: you want a modified Colossus that can carry 16 mechs, 36 vehicles, 12 infantry platoons, and 4 fighters?
repair capacity is an innate ability of a units bay, so a mech bay can service any size battlemech up to 100t for maintenance, repairs, and certain customizations.
Reason I ask is that a Colossus can already carry 72 vehicles up to 100t, 36 battlemechs, and 12 infantry platoons. Were you asking for someone to remove 36 vehicles bays, 20 mech bays, and add 4 aero bays plus extra cargo capacity? _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

Ahh, see I didnt know that. I need to update my book's /sigh. which book is that out of? but yeah it needs a fighter bay. and if that comes at the expense of a couple of mech bays, than that is ok.
And the fighter is awesome. I would love to see one with 6 med pulse 4 nose mounted and 2 in the wings.

==Overview:==
In 2651, the SLDF was embarrassed during "war games" held in the Periphery
after sending five regiments to participate. Because of the deplorable
results caused by lack of coordination and cooperation, the SLDF High Command
created their famous Regimental Combat Teams (RCT). This specialized combat
team would need transportation that would enhance the unit's qualities.
Enter Mitchell Vehicles Interstellar. They delivered a design to the SLDF
that would fulfill the needs of the RCT, supporting it during its operation.
It was a bold design massing 20,000 tons; the largest Assault DropShip ever
built. The Colossus was designed to be easily repaired and its components
were remarkably robust, added to its reliability. The ship was equipped with
the Star League's most advanced armor and weapons technologies, driving the
vessel costs to over 700 million a ship. While they performed their intended
function admirably, the cost of replacing them was too prohibitive. After the
ships were destroyed during the Amaris War--including the company tat made
them, Mitchell Vehicles Interstellar--the Colossus was replaced by the smaller
yet just as capable Excalibur, at half the cost. After the war, only five
Colossus ships were known to have survived; those disappeared with Kerensky's
army.
In 3014, however, Snord's Irregulars stumbled across a buried Colossus on
the Lyran world of Phecda. The ship's structural integrity was still sound, a
testament to its design. In its holds, Snord found a large stockpile of
'Mechs. The ship was later cannibalized by Lyran forces. Then, in the summer
of 3067, another Colossus was discovered on the planet Epsilon Eridani. While
Renfield's Renegades and the Lone Star Regiment were battling, they unearthed
a Star League Depot hidden in the Shamus Mountains. Both laid claims to the
pristine DropShip, exacerbation the situation at hand. Both suffered greatly
in the conflict, driven by greed as much as their assignments. The Lone Star
Regiment emerged the victor and laid claim to the ship, making up for much of
its losses.

If you couldn't tell, i pulled the extra bays and converted them into extra cargo as if the bay itself has just had all of its braces, gantries, cranes, ect. removed and boxes piled in the alcove. The exception of course being the aero bays.
