I just had to boast about the victory in our first Football World Cup match. It's the first time we win the beginning match in more than 50 years.

Saw the game, was horribly officiated.
Spain would have won at any rate, but that ref was just plain terrible.

Bad refs are sour grapes from losers 
I assume you question the penalty calls. The first was a good one, the Slovenian player just faked it, the second possible penalty was a tough call, and the one that meant the 3rd goal for Spain was strict, normally a penalty is not imposed for that action.
for the most part he was right in the application of the law of advantage, choosing not to interrupt the game, and it was a clean match, with few faults.

Thank you, I'd like to see a final germany-Spain, though my favorite is Argentina.
I share your sentiments about France being brought down a peg or two, they aren't that good, their past successes were a fluke. And England...well a team of drunkards and brawlers 'nuff said!
It's curious but the last time we weon the first match was in Brazil in 1950, against USA, go figure
