I think the decreased rate of fire and range is not worth it. Especially without any armour upgrade. Capacitors will IMO be much better with 'mechs that can make pop shots on the move. Clint for example. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

In general I agree with my Sleeping friend of wisdom, however, in this case once you close to within 12 hexes you can kick in the ERMLs and just forget the capacitors. Any kind of broken terrain where LOS is not going to be there every turn and this machine does get wicked good, at least on paper. _________________ The JadeDragon

There's a lot of conditions you need to have fulfilled before you make up for the loss IMO. It would be better to have the capacitors on standard or even better on ER PPCs on this one. When you put DHSs on the standard WHM-6R chassis you can easily achieve that. Just drop MGs and get the capacitors for your ER PPCs... and maybe one more DHS instead of the SLs.and you even get 4 point overheat, but I don't think that's necessary since firing the PPCs would either be erratic or you would have dissipation capacity to spare if you don't recharge the capacitors till you are temporarily out of targets. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

i have found that most games end up with each sides units within 10 or 12 hexes. As such, a SNPPC with a 9 hex short range has been nasty in the games i've seen it in. And the occasional 15 dmg shot out to 9 hexes for +0 to-hit sounds even worse.
not saying this the optimal platform for this, it was just the first to come to mind. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

Bah, you shouldn't have come any further than to Panther when looking for an ideal Snub-nose PPC+capacitor upgrade _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!
