==Overview:==
Design and Built for the simple job of escorting and assisting infant
The Libtz is extremely slow for a tank of its size. As an infantry support
vehicle high speeds were seen as uneeded. To make up for the designs lack o
speed is its moderatly thick armor.
One of the major advantages of the Libtz is the use of Taurian Concor
produced materials. Some have claimed the Libtz is almost omni in design,
allowing for mass production of this cheep well built tank.
==Capabilities:==
With a top speed of 34kph the Libtz is as fast as most mounted infant
Many point this out as a weekness, but as the Libtz job is to escort infant
large engine and high speed were traded for armor and firerpower.
Mounting a class 5 autocannon the Libtz can soften up anti-infantry
position from range. Eighty rounds supplie the Libtz with more then enough
to operate away from supplie lines. This is backed up by the oversized fuel
tanks.
To serve its anti-infantry roll, three machine guns are equiped on the
tank. a pivot mount on the front controlled by the pilot and twin coaxial g
in the turret. over a hundered bursts are supplied to each gun. Allowing th
Libtz to pin down enemy infantry.
To prevent the slow moving tank from becoming easy targets for enemy
anti-tank infantry. over six tons of starslab 3 armor is mounted on the
chassie. Allowing the Libtz to take several LAW's before being disabled. Th
armor has been know to take a single shot from a guass cannon, and even an
class 20 autocannon shot to the front or turret.
All in all, the Libtz does its job well. Cheap, easily produced, easi
shipped, infantry support tank that is now seeing production.
==Variants:==
Two variants are in existence. The first the LBT-12-B is in productio
every fourth Libtz is being constructed in this variant. Removing the pilot
controled machine gun and a full ton of ammo, and replacing it with a flame
and fuel supplie. This variant sees to clearing bunkers and fortifications.
The second variant removes the class 5 autocannon, the cannon ammo, a
machine gun, and one full ton of machine gun ammo. replacing it with a clas
cannon and a ton of ammo. This is being considered as the increased punch o
the class 10 over the class 5. The back draws thou are many, one the turret
mounts must be reinforced to handel the heavier gun. two more then eighty
percent of the ammo capacity is removed.
==Notable Vehicles & Crew:==
A battalion of Libtz on Illiushin have begun to call themselves the
fighting first. all the tanks have had a red one painted on there turrets.
are consindered a vetern unit.
==Deployment==
The first units rolled of the assembly line a week after production be
The eight lines see twenty four units produced each month. This has allowed
TC to ship complete companies to major worlds. Several inner sphere compani
have also expressed an interest in placing orders.

I sorta like it. Simple, cheap and does its job. the UrbanMech of vehicles. Now if only you could have gotten an AC/10 on there instead lol
One problem however. the AC/5 does have a min range, and although you have provided Machine guns to make up for this, I think outfitting the design with SRMs would have been a better idea. But thats just me.

The Mathilda of BattleTech. I like it, it`s simple enough to do exactly what you say and nothing much else. Infantry need support if they have to advance, and a tank usually draws more fire than the infantry...Just use SRM infantry to teach your enemy a hard lesson in fighting.

it was one of my variants. ac/10, 2 mg, 1.5t ammo. as for the ac/5's min range, chuck that off to turret traversing and gun tilt. i think it would still prove usefull against infantry at min range. and i'm supprised you missed the blaring obviousnous of the idea behind this tank. m4.

seeing as the fighting forces of TC are lacking in sofistication, they can make up in man power. otherwise, support your infantry.
