This is moronic. Haven't those idiots seen the John Wayne movie? It's a well known fact that Texans weren't only Anglo Americans but Hispanic too.
I mean for the same token, Civil War stoy shouldn't be taught in southern schools lest it rekindles "Confederate separatism"

See! Even the European knows more about our history than most of our kids will in 20 years! No offense...but thats sad...
And I have NEVER gotten a straight answer from any of my UK friends on this one. What does the UK teach about The Revolutionary War? I mean...if they teach it like we teach Korea...heh...

I am speechless. The only word I can think of to describe these people is: ASS****S!
One of the revisions was amusingly clever though:
" Certain revisions bordered on the absurd. In a speech by Kofi Annan ,the United Nations (news - web sites) secretary general, (there were) deletions about the United States' unpaid debt to the United Nations"

Revisionists should be burned at the stake. And I mean every word of that.

Completely stupid. I mean really now
Let's not offend anybody with the truth
As a Texan I am offended. To rewrite our history so we will not hurt the feelings a race that lost a war with us 168 years ago. Is stupid.
The real sad part is. of that 40%, almost half of them are here ileaglly.

You know, back in College I took a course in Texas history, since there wasn't one in high school.
I was interested to learn that about 70% of the men who died in the Alamo were supposed to be Mexican.
Another little forgotten truth of history. Most of the Mexicans living in Texas when the revolution started did not like the dictator Santa Anna any more than the Anglos did.
But God fordid Hispanic children should be taught to feel Texas pride for TexMex ancestors who were too busy SHOOTING AT the Mexican Army to have the time to join it.
That might upset Mexico. Dear Lord, we all know it is a felony to remind the losing side of a war that they in fact did indeed lose. _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson

But isn't that in the Winners code book? Chap 3, Para 4 Subsection C1: "Winners must occasionally remind the Loser's of their Defeat."....
