Starting real soon. The free hotmail accounts will not longer support pop mail. Which kinda bites. Because of my Mordel address uses a POP server.
But I got around it using my DSL SMTP server with Mordel's server and got it to work. So now my Mordel address is working fine.
Just FYI

I'll probably be paying Hotmail for the increased space and POP access...my account runs near full most times and it's worth the $20 a year to me.

I can imagine with all the PBeM games you've been running that your inbox gets VERY full.

I don't use my Hotmail account with POP. So I'm not affected.....

simple solution to that. If you use outlook express you can set it to dl messages from hotmail. then you setup a dummy account and just move all the messages you want to keep into the dummy account from the hotmail inbox. only problem is that you cant access the stored messages while on the run.

I use a simpler solution: no Hotmail

You're right Chihawk, I was only thinking BTech! Wow! Where do you find the time? Are you like Donald Trump only needing 4 hrs of sleep a night?

The Battletechs take up a very small amount of time, only about 2 hours per week, and most of that is on Saturday evening/Sunday morning when combat is rolled.
Diplomacy takes about 2 hours per turn and each turn lasts 3 days, so between 4 and 6 hours per week.
Champions is a bit tougher because it's a RPG. Each player is given a situation and has 4 days to write a short story up until they commit to an action. From that point I determine the outcome of everyone's actions and the send that out to the players, who then have 4 days to submit another story about what they are doing.
This is BY FAR the most time consuming game, and the most enjoyable for me to run. I know that when this one is over (and it's been going on 3 years now and I don't see it ending anytime soon) I will never run a game like this again. Not for the work involved, but because I will never be able to put together a group of 5 people like this again.
Plus I'm playing in a Diplomacy game too...and believe it or not it's much harder to play an e-mail game than it is to run one.
