(walks into the bar in his now normal coating of grease)
Umm...anyone not too busy for the next few hours?
(looks around at everyone averting their gazes and sighs)
I need a hand placing a myomer bundle on the rear left leg of my Scorpion. I know it's a nasty job what with the connects and really cramped conditions but I cannot do it myself. Who ever wants to help I'm over in hangar 26. The one with the scrap hopper out front.
(turns to leave)
There will be a keg there.
(with that he departs)

Fox stands up and follows Seraph out to the hangar, though the first words out of his mouth are "I don't drink...but how can I help?"

Well ,the myomer I have gotten seems to be a bit short. I cannot get any more distance out of the adjustments on the bundle brackets so I have to use a power stretcher and manually lengthen the myomer. Unfortunately all this has to be performed inside the leg housing which is quite a bit cramped.
(shrugs his shoulders)
Hence my problem. Might be able to get it with just us two but the more the merrier.

Fox nods. "Well, I'll see what I can do. I'm not the best in the world with this type of thing, but dissembling a Hatchetman gives a good deal of on the job training..." So saying he goes over and starts inspecting the leg of the 'Mech and making sure the necessary armor panels are removed. "I think we could probably remove these panels and replace them later. It would give you more room to work with."

Guys, You should build a Jig that will strech those bundles. it's a lot easier than doing it inside the leg. Get the Measurements and connectors and I'll knock out the jig.

Now to unbury the one I have...

I would but the myomer has to be in a strectched position before attachment then when it's locked in position we'll release it slowly and let the structure take up the stresses. If you stretch it first it will relax back to it's original length before you can attach it, it's the nature of the myomer material.
(hands Fox a couple wrenches)
Here you are Fox, I'll hold this end while you loosen that end and we'll set this plate down.
(sets the plate on the ground with the help of Fox)
As you can see, the structural members are cylindrical cast sections and the myomer attaches to that bracket there and then to another about half the way down that shaft.
(points down into the leg section)
I'm a bit smaller than you so I can clamber down in there if you prefer unless you know someone smaller than I.

Guess I'm the lucky fellow then.
(squeezes into the leg assembly from the far side)
Now pass that bundle end down to me and I'll hook it up on this end.
(waits for the myomer bundle to be passed to him)

Fox blinks. "Huh? What?" He then passes Seraph the bundle. "Sorry. I go off into my own little world sometimes while I'm thinking."

BONK! Ow!
(was shifting his headlamp to avoid a cross strut when the bundle came down the shaft)
Thanks Fox!
(rubs his head then shifts the bundle over to the connection bracket)
Can you twist it a little clockwise?

Fox twists the connection bundle clockwise a bit while thinking about the Hatchetman.

Try this Hub and Chain Fall.
a: The Hub goes into the connector in the Bundle.
b: Connect the Chain fall to the hub.
c: Set the chain fall above the actuator.
d: Crank on the Chain fall until the Bundle connector is even with the actuator's pin Connection.
e: Push the Bundle off the hub onto the Actuator's pin connector.
f: Set and Lock the bundle in place.

See it's easy....

No need to Strong Arm it.
Joe, remember, Work smarter not harder....

Fox smiles. "Usually I would I think, but my mind is elsewhere lately. However..." Fox pulls out a large remote and begins working it as an industrial exoskeleton begins to walk over to the 'Mech without anyone in it. "Similar to using a template, the first thing I did when I took the project was make this. A little time off the top saves loads later." The machine walks over and holds the bundle as Fox puts away the remote, moving over to get the hub and chain fall. "Let's face it...who never wanted another pair of hands? Albeit oversized ones that can crush steel and are not very dexterous..."

What's that noise?
(hears a thumping sound similar to a large walking machine)
I say, are we under attack?
(scrabbles like mad to remove himself from the tight confines)
What in the....!?!?
(draws his sidearm and aims at the exoskeleton)
Look out! Runaway machine!

Fox chuckles. "Listen, put that thing down before Lurch throws ya out. And it ain't runaway. It's a remote." He comes over with the equipment. "Let's put a little simple machinery to this, eh, Seraph?"

Huh? Oh okay.
(holsters his sidearm)
Didn't know Lurch could reach me out here in the hangars.
(looks at the exoskeleton suspiciously)
Just don't hurt my baby.
(looks at his 'mech in concern)
Show me your way.
