That was my very first convention. I got a couple awards from you guys. One was most bloodthirsty or something like that. I kicked about 1/2 dozen of those little buggers. Smile

Stepping on tanks is easy. The tough part is making it past the AC 20 in the first place....

Low gravity lunar canyons.

Vacuum, .1 gravity.

Heaviest mech was my Whitworth (40 tons)

Numerous vehicles.

It was actually a pretty short match. After five turns every mech (including mine) was breached and destroyed. I think the survivor was a Vedette.

Needless to say, we never played that again...

It almost sounds like you got the rules wrong...

The one Casey and I ran on the moon had 20 people playing in it, in mechs of all sizes. Think it was the Clans against Kurita, and it finished right on the four hour mark.

People got their units breached.
People died rolling their mechs across the moonscape after their legs ripped off.
People died when they only moved 3 hexes.
People died after receiving 50 hex charges.
Nate died when he realized that he had placed his mech on the top of a pinnacle, and couldn't hit anyone. He stepped off, landed on his head I think, and breached his cockpit.

That type of terrain can be very interesting, but it is not for the faint of heart. If you are not aggressive, you die quickly.

Played it in Megamek. I recall a couple of engines exploding and at least 1 or two cockpit breaches.

It was a short game, with many mechs going off in the same round. Didn't exactly take notes on the death throws.
