But what does it do? How much does it weigh? what is it damage and heat?

Plasma Rifle heat 10, 10 dmg, 0/5/10/15, 6t, 2c, 10ammo, Special: 1d6 heat to mech, aerofighter, and small craft; or 2d6 additional dmg vs all others.

Ammo does not explode.
Internal Heat does not cause ammo explosion.
Double dmg vs buildings and forests.
Fire Resistant Armor suffers only 5 damage from attacks. No extra.

Hmm I find that unimpressive actually. Pretty run of the mill actually.

And 24.99 You have GOT to be kiddin me.

The concept is interesting to me. It seems like a logical step, though I think Protomechs are cheaper, easier to repair, and in the long run what you will really see. Considering thoes you can get 25 to a star versus 5 mechs, I am surprised that they havetn pushed them for the IS yet. especially considering how many were captured in operation Bulldog.

The reason is based on the whole EI thing. Is pilots just are not willing to have such an invasive and destructive surgery performed. At least that is the official excuse.

The trifecta of the future (at least, as I see it) are armored vehicles, aerospace, and battle armor.

You have been looking to much at MWDA...

Mechs have a role as do vehicles and the rest. Maybe it's time to go back to that combined arms idea and work on it, instead of these swings to left or right sides of the ideas.

Looking at the track record here, TPTB have made ultra light mechs, ie 15 tons and below into Level 3 items, even going as far as to change the way the rules were original written, where it once said mechs were 10 to 100 tons now I believe it reads 20 to 100 tons...They have also ruled out IS Protos. But yet we see similar concepts within the WoB with their rip-off Juicers (ala RIFTS) and other cyborgs which could be linked back to the Protos...

Logically the IS shouldn't be coping Clan tech, they should be using it to get what they can use to fight back against them or each other, but logic isn't something is applicable to CBT most of the time. Story is more important.

I have to disagree with this, They already CAN copy clan tech, Nais can do it. But for some reason they never got past the "Oh see we can do it as well" phase. I have said this before, and Ill say it again. If I am prince Victor then I am scrapping MOST of the other weapons research and funding a factory that can produce Clan Grade weapons quickly and easily. When that is up and running, then we start worrying about Rac's.

And I am really tired of them not using logic for the most part. Story is important but it doesn't mean much if you don't have a believable universe.

Okay, I've toyed with the idea of super-heavies for some time, and even worked up a few rules sets. Most of which got royally flamed here.

Now I grant you, the Aries is one butt-ugly three-legged monstrosity, and slower than molassases in January but my question is:

How did they do it? Where are the rules for superheavies? In all honesty, I could care less what it's armed with. I just want to know how to make my own.

Where are the rules? The answer is simple. Nowhereat the moment.

The 'Mech exists only in DA miniatures game and the rules will be included in the book with advanced rules IMO...
