Not only do i remember seeing Neil Amstrong making his fist steps on the moon LIVE in the old black&white TV of my parents, i too have the Powerhits BATTLETECH CD-Rom for PC which was published 1994 by Activision and contains MechWarrior ( 1 ! ), BT: the Crescent Hawks' Revenge & BT: the Crescent Hawks' Interception 
I am still proud of beeing able to rescue my Chameleon when the Jenners attacked the Pacifica Training School 
By the way, did you know that both Crescent Hawks' games have been developed by WESTWOOD ? !
But this CD-ROM isnt the only treasure in my huge vault
Does anybody of you still remember the BTAS-CD-ROM, which contains AVI files of all 13 episodes of the 1st Somerset Strikers, encoded by Marquis de Slack ?

As long as Germany doesnt even have its own Commando to participate in events like Monte Diablo, or the Martial Olympiads, your only chance to find active players are the chapters of the MechForce Germany.
If you are willing to invest a big part of your time into CBT, like our Commando Hans "Eddie" Haderer ( mailto: Hans.Haderer@reflex.at ) here in Vienna, you should be able to gather a group of BT players in your area too. Just ask Clutch for more information about becoming a Commando, or visit the Commando HQ !
By the way, have you looked at the Martial Olympiad 2003 Standings ?
I met Azrael ~13 months ago in the U4 where he was reading a BT novel.
Until then he only knew the books and has never played CBT or MW: DA.
I invited him to play MW: DA & CBT with us and now he is one of the best players i know. If you are not afraid of asking strangers, you will find more than enough players for CBT in your area too.

Hey ///Mex you want to talk about old? I watched the first MERCURY launch LIVE!and I remember reading in the newspaper about the first Sputnic launch!

Cham, I really wish I personaly could have done the upgrades on it, would have been better than the ones they gave me.. belive it or not I still have some in my units ( Chams) and they make 'interesting" lance companions...
I also remember the moon landing ( I think the top event in human history..........Oh Mearde! I bet I just started another divergant posting subject....) we had the day/days off from school and watched it on our combo stero / record player / console BW T.V.
Now I am definitaly feeling old........

| I was wondering when I might pop up; good to see the 'ole timers havn't been forgotten. This thread sure brings back some old memories (most of them good I am glad to say). I suppose my most vivid memory has to do with the Illkhan's terrible spelling; it took me several weeks to actually understand what he was saying; reading his posts was like learning a new language.

| He was good fun though; I disagreed with him about a lot of stuff, but as you know, I disagree with many people about a lot of stuff, so I don't really view it as a big deal. I also remember Headhunter; hands down the funniest person ever to post here. He's been gone for a long time though; I only caught the tail end of his "career" in any case.
