Forum: General Discussion Posted: 21-Apr-2006 12:18 Subject: RE: C3 Company |
The Tai-sho is a nice company-level C3 command mech. A little on the slow side, but it has enough long range weaponry to defend itself and maxed armour.
There's also the WFT-C Wolftrap, essentially t ... |

Man... I still have my GI Joes from when I was a kid... them and transformers.
Anyhow... It's a nifty little craft, I'd certainly use it if I was defensive in a campaign. I could see it being useful ... |

The Awesome is another exception to that, It can fire all 3 PPCs every other round, and fire two every round with heat to spare. |

Forum: General Discussion Posted: 08-Feb-2006 19:42 Subject: RE: Patton Tank or Rommel Tank |
Against mechs neither of them are terribly useful. Meaning that the main role of the both of them should be hit and fade or anti-tank duty. With a move of only 4/6, they won't be able to retreat fast ... |

AC ammo is in the leg because it has better protection there than in the torsos and in the trial runs I had, it wasn't a problem. Besides, by the time you take 43 points of damage to one leg, in most ... |

If you use HMPro, you need to go to the MM webpage and download a program there that converts the files. I don't remember if there are any other design programs supported. It tells you on the MM webpa ... |

It also already has 5 MLs for close range fighting.
As a side note, I tested it out in MM last night. Against a Victor (don't remember the model, BVs were close though) it won 2 out of 3 matches, aga ... |

Same series of mech ideas, but not another model of the same mech. Sorry, wasn't entirely clear. |

I was thinking of making a second mech to the series, once I figure out fluff and stuff, that's more suited to close in fighting. It'll be a little lighter and maybe faster. |

LIke I said, I just threw it together, I didn't change the date or anything. Once I get some ideas for fluff I'm going to set a proper date. |

Idea behind the standard AC and 3 tons of ammo was to take advantage of the various kinds of special ammo available. |

I find that the Stone Rhino/Behemoth gets far too much hype for what it's worth. I find I have no problems dealing with it, despite what the local Clan players have to say about it. Another Clan mech ... |

I find the Shadow Hawk in general is a piece of junk. Almost anything that can be done with a SHD, can be done better with a Pheonix Hawk, the only thing it doesn't do better is dissipate heat.

As I interpret it, the crits taken up by FF isn't the armour itself, but more by extra mounting points and the like, which would in turn explain why they're fixed. |
