HA HA HA HA HA
Look at the arms. Are they trying to rip-off Gundam Wing (Altron dragon fangs on the arms, for those that do not know)? Wow, looks like Wizkids is trying to tick-off a company or two now.

They aren't "trying to pass that (off) as a mech" because it is a mech. It's a mech for MW:DA, which is not Battletech so their units can look like anything they'd like and it has no impact on our game at all.

No impact until the two time lines meet...which IS going to happen so it has an impact.

Nope, the games will have the same timeline but the games will not be the same.
And unless they start working on ICE rules for Battletech that make sense then we won't have to worry about that crap at all...besides, MW:DA will be long dead by the time we get anywhere near close to where they are in the timeline.

I hope that your prediction is a correct one.

It will, and it isn't even a long shot.
The only thing colder than collectable games right now is Antarctica, and even that is getting close.

Absolute zero, maybe....But then, the matter that's being used to create this travesty wouldn't function, so *migraine headache*

That's a Spider?
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jordan and his cronies are idiots.

While it may be true that they are idiots as you say, that is most indeed a Spider--no doubt about it. I know that because the makers of MW:DA told me it was, and as it's their game they can call whatever unit whatever name they'd like.
But seeing as MW:DA isn't Battletech I don't have an issue with it.

They are not really idiots. They just spend more time listening to the voices in their heads, then the people they are trying to market this game to.

The only problem with that is no one is certain exactly who they're trying to market MW:DA to

2 Things
1) This is how DEAD the Colectible Mini games are...In my store we cary the Marvel Hero-Click game. Well, the other day I found an open box, and feared "Oh, someone took one or 2 of the pieces. Well, in reality they just took the little plastic "sleeve" for the piece, and left the game pieces themselved in the box. Sad, isnt it?
2)They are marketing to us. They want to create enough of a hype that all us CBT players check it out. Which means we buy a starter set, maybe a expansion set...and see how it runs. Half of us like it (suuuure...like that'll happen), and the other half (roughly 90% of BT players...yes I know its a scewed number) will burn ever box we come to...
So...there is THAT!
