I know, there's no rhyme or reason as to when I push updates out. But another one is out there none-the-less. This includes some bug fixes I recently introduced as a result of some code-rewrite, but also some enhancements to move forward with the Equipment listings and ultimately custom equipment. Details are as follows:
Defects
- Fixed a bug where placing, and then removing, a piece of equipment could also remove another random component, usually an actuator. This only happened in rare cases where you had added equipment, had not yet place it, then refreshed your screen, and switch the chassis type.
- Fixed a bug where placing equipment in the right leg of a Tripod would remove all the leg actuators. This happened if you were designing a quad, then switched to a tripod.
- Fixed an issue where the distribution configuration icons were still visible if your design was a Tripod, and then you clicked the Reset button. While the center leg was removed, the icons were still visible.
Enhancements
- Added text description fields for Cost, Weight, and Criticals. This allows for those fields to show a descriptive value in the weapons listing, whereas the actual fields can hold numeric values used for calculations during design.
- Added an Availability column to the database to hold the four-character Availability Rating each piece of equipment has. I'll be adding them as I progress through the equipment, verifying what I have is accurate.
- Added the ability for placement rules to be specified while designing. These will appear under Construction Rules in the weapon listing, and will be usable for custom equipment. The first one I've incorporated was the restriction on location placement (e.g., AES may only be places in arms or legs). I'll be adding more as I go.
