Overview:
    Faced with the task of proposing a new medium mech for the DCMS, a team of student designers
    at the Sun Zhang academy decided instead to redesign a venerable Mech.
    
    
    
    Taking the Hunchback, which is fairly common in the Draconis Combine, the students elected
    to rebuild the frame using Endo Steel and strap on jump jets to the now strengthened frame.
    
    
    
    A new LB-20X design was proposed for the remodeled Hunchback along with twin ER MLs while a
    C3 link was added in line with the new tactics espoused by the DCMS.
    
    
    
    Lastly, an advanced electronics counter-measure package was installed to defeat the
    increasingly advanced EW suites in the modern battlefield.

Capabilities:
    The installation of the LB-20X and ER MLs are expected to give the HBK-5K an extra range to
    its bite while the addition of jump jets adds a measure of agility to the old design.

Deployment:
    No working models of this design have been made as yet, though the students, now into the
    final year of studies are currently working on a prototype.
    
    
    
    An Alshain district think tank has suggested that the HBK-5K might work well with the
    remodelled PNT-9K2 Panther.
