When did this even air? I was under the impression that it died a rather quick, undignified death in the recesses of syndication.

It aired...and a caught the tail of one episode. it was on at like 5 am on Sat mornings here. Apparently the CGI was nice...the plot was supposed to blow though. It wasnt even North vs South Heavy Gear...or Terra (i think that was the name of the planet, been a wehile) vs Earth....no...it was a TOURNAMENT series. You know how fast Tourney series get old? G-Gundam is a little different...but they SUCK ASS!
Anyways...you didnt miss too much, so dont worry.

It was still North vs South. But it was done in a tournament style rather than doing something on the actual war. CGI was nice but the story kinda stunk. I think it only went 1 season worth of episodes. At least a dozen of'em or so.

If this is what I think it is, then I agree that it sucks. I only saw one episode and decided never to see another. The CGI was okay, for TV, but sub-standard for anything that has the time to do it right. And the plot was just plain cheesy. The version I saw showed a guy forced to fight his own team. (That was original)

I saw half of the underwater challenge. It sucked when it started and it sucked when it finished.
Talen, it's on 5:30 am here....
