I've been handed a wonderful campaign battle now that I've joined up with a B-tech group.
they have 28 mechs opposing my 20. They have higher tech level mechs, and they have better pilots for the majority. On the bright side they are using all their aerotech against the other continent. I'm also the defender.
I'll list the mechs now.
Enemy mechs
FWL's Company(regular pilots all)
Rakshasa = vet pilot/commander
Thorn, 2 Wasps, 2 Commandos, 1 Initiate, 2 Whitworths, Blackjack, Hunchback, Archer, Rakshasa, Awesome, Atlas
Vet Lance
2 Hammers, 2 Anvils
Waste Management Merc Company(green pilots)
Centurion = Commander. * = Regular pilot
2 Thorns, 2 Locusts, Locust*, 2 Hussars*, Initiate*, Centurion*, Trebuchet*.
Friendly Units
First Company (Regular pilots)
Caesar = Commander/vet pilot. * = Green
2 Jenners, Panther*, Panther, Vindicator*, 2 Lynxs, Wolverine, Archer, Casear, 2 Warhammers.
Second Company (Green pilots)
+ = Company Commander. * = Regular Pilot
2 Stingers, 2 Phoenix Hawks, Griffin*, 2 Shadow Hawks, Shadow Hawk*+
Okay, They are holding a small outpost as a repair depot and have 2 mobile repair centers. I have a city and roughly 200 km between our main base. The city has a repair facility and an ammunition plant for LRM missiles.
Anyone want to suggest some way for me to deal with them? I'm under orders to try and avoid duking it out in the city?
Note: this scenario has been running for awhile so I get to replace a member that quit.

Blackhand,
If you can get the two Rakshasas, the Awesome, and the Atlas all standing in one place, have your wolverine run into the middle of them, then have all your other mechs shoot your wolverine. If the wolverine's fusion reactor goes critical, the splash damage should really put a big dent in the enemy assaults.
heh...heh...heh... I'm just kidding. I'd never condone (or allow, in my campaign) that kinda tactic. I just couldn't resist the opportunity to suggest it. If any major flamejobs come flying my way as a result of this post, I'd consider myself just;y served, and would offer no defense.

I believe I used that tactic very well at the last TotalCon...although it wasn't my intent when I started.

Disperse your mobile repair centers, so if the main base is taken you can hit and run and still repair mechs. Since you don't have conventional forces assign a couple of mechs as security/reserve for the mobile repair vehicles.
Use your fast units in hit and run attacks. Until they take the main base they probably won't be able to repair. Wear them down. If they isolate a small unit, like a scout lance to search for you mobile bases, dump some heavies and your fast units on it to overwhelm and destroy, then ask the GM if you can salvage units.
Offer the merc unit more money than Marik.

Thank you all for replying. The battle begins again tonight and I expect it will be over one way or another. We have scheduled close to 14 hours to play this half of the scenario out.
Course if I win... I end up stuck transfering troops to the other continent to support that battle
