Variants:
    The CLNT-2-7T Clint is an extremely rare variant of this BattleMech rarely found on the
    modern battlefield. Desiring to make a more “top-tier” scout and skirmisher BattleMech,
    Andoran engineers reversed the policy of using cheap, non-standard parts, and instead, opted
    to make a more rugged design. Downgrading the fusion core and jump capacity freed up room to
    increase the armor of the machine, and thinning the rear plating allowed improvements in
    other areas.
    
    They also increased firepower and the ability of the design to inflict damage and withstand
    counter-fire by opting for an all-energy weapon load out; replacing the autocannon with a
    powerful Parti-Kill particle cannon. Knowing this would tax the former basic heat control
    system, they increased the number of heat sinks by 40%, and placed some of the new units in
    the legs to allow for possible additional cooling while standing in water.
    
    To improve the design’s recon abilities, a recon camera was added to the head, and its
    communication system was replaced by an advanced Tek BattleCom. Unfortunately, only between
    a half dozen and a dozen of this design is believed to have been built before the factory on
    Bell was completely leveled in 2812.
