Overview:
The Himmelshammer line of VTOLs are intended for deep patrols to expand a strategy of
defense in depth. Initially opting for a long range sniper build, there was just enough
tonnage devoted to weaponry that it was easier to create variants to cover mission creep
then to build a new chassis. This has unfortunately lead to rather bad proliferation of
available models to the point it probably should of been upgraded to Omnivehicle standards.
Capabilities:
The HH-6 double downed on long ranged, prolonged fire support. Armed with an extended
LRM-10 and a staggering 6 tons of ammo, this Himmelshammer can almost fight an entire
campaign without needing to return to base to rearm. The only thing it need fear is surface
to air missiles, and the occasional LB-2 autocannon. And hunter killers. One must never
forget the Himmelshammer is technically slow in this day and age.
