Overview:
Today on "Things that don't make sense in the real world but the simulations think they're
great"; the Charybdis, A slow under armored Protomech that apparently thinks it's magnetic
clamps will let it be useful?
Capabilities:
With laughably light armor, no mobility, and a weapons configuration that gets in its own
way, the Charybdis is a hopeless design. Even with the magnetic clamp system allowing it to
hold onto a faster mech to vastly enhance its running speed, what is it going to do when it
gets to its destination? It'll just be shot to pieces before it ever catches its bearing.
The simulators think otherwise. Armor is considered to exist on par with most protomechs. i
Its potential firepower isn't bad. And most importantly, in the more abstract estimation of
timing used by the simulator, it can still get its shots off after letting go of its ride.
The final point that makes the simulator think this is a wonderful idea is the absurdly low
"Point value" of 4. Clearly something is broken in the simulator.
