Mass: 20 tons
Power Plant: 80 I.C.E.
Cruise Speed: 54.0 km/h
Maximum Speed: 86.4 km/h

Armament:
1 SR-2 Swatter Missile Delivery System
1 CC4 Flamer (Vehicle)
Manufacturer: Gorki Mechanical Plant, Bryant
Location: New Moscow
Communications System: R-173
Targeting & Tracking System: OU-3GA2M
=Overview:=
The Novgorod Class IFV is a highly advanced weapons system being offered by the revitalized
weapons plants on Bryant. The Novgorod is intended to carry personal on the battlefield and provide close fire support.
Cheap and easy to produce, the Novgorod has been deployed in most nations including the Federated Suns, where an alternate machine gun varient is used, the Free Worlds Leage, and the Draconis Combine. In almost all cases the cheap and reliable Novgorod can out perform
outdated APC's normally used to carry the same number of troops.
=Capabilities:=
The 8x8 wheeled chasis has superior manuvering capabilities to more conventional 4x4 wheeled chasis designs. The Russians have capitilized on this by making a superior off road machine able to maintain quality speed and carry superior fire power. The durability of the design, including its ability to loose a number of wheels and keep on driving, has made it very popular in tanker crews assinged to the machine.
However the Novgorod Class IFV doesn't stop with superior reliability, it is also an attempt of the Russians to break some new technological ground. The SR-2 Swatter missile delivery system is a unique system that employs a radio guided warhead on top of the standard missile propulsion system. This replaces the fire and forget system used on other SRM systems. The system has some bugs in it however, and the Russians have included a patch to the computer system to allow it to switch over to an F&F system if the purchaser does not like the radio guided system. If successful the radio guided warhead could prove to be a major advancment in missile technology as it seems to be unable to be jammed. Unfortanitly the system is clumsy and not nearly as reliable as the Streak system.
=Varients:=
There are two main varients. The first is a machine gun varient which drops the flamer and ammunition for two machine guns and 100 rounds. The second is an ambulance version which drops all the weapon systems, has 3 tons of cargo room used for transport and a large array of field medicine machinery, and armor. These varients are not very common however, though they see production in almost three nations.

I like the weapons, but it doesn't carry much infantry (Not many IFVs do). Still, a good design for beating down the little buggers.

I just realized that the Novgorod is Amphibious, why not make a Lvl 2 variant without that ability and it could carry more infantry? Or weapons, or armor. Or any combination. Let me know if you do, I'd be interested in adding that to my archive of B&G designs. I've already added this one.

Because the Russian Federation BRT-80A series is amphibious. and about the same speed. though this is about 7 tons heavier. And doesn't have a 30mm cannon on it

Actually, I do have plans to build a few new vessels and redesign those that were lost in time. I contacted Raven about it, he developed the State and I helped arm it, and this was his responce:
"In other news I'm going to announce a HUGE update to the NUSSR basically they have to flee the Chaos March and settle in the Periphery..."
So I am going to design and release a slew of designs based upon there conception up till 3065 to 3067 or so. Mostly older designs, but I have a few ideas in the wings.
