This is just a small poll to get ome feedback on what people like to see in their gaming systems. I am considering making homebrew rules for a certain area of armored combat the bugs me, and your input on this topic (and a few to come) would help me a lot.
The question is: what is the highest level of mathematics you like to see in your games. A different way of stating the question would be what is the highest level of mathematics you can use in games before the math starts making games drag.
Thanks for the input.

Piss on Hero systems. Aftermath had a real math system. Any game where you had to figure out weight carried out to the fourth decimal place and use that figure to determine how it impacted your movement and fatigue rate. THAT is too much math. Or take a look at Phoenix system weapon damage. Weapon damage is calculated against range, armor, body mass and endurance.
Never sacrifice playability for reality. Hero works because it is playable, reality isn't even an issue. _________________ The more I get to know people the more I like my dog.

Anything beyond just simple math (addition, subtraction, mutilplication, division, fractions, decimals) is way over my head.

I blame it on the lack of a decent GM to run a Hero campaign. That and a total inability to play a 4 color heroic-stupid character.

You've never played in any of my Champions campaigns
4-color was never my favorite campaign type, I prefer a harder edge. One that I'm betting your playing style would fit into quite well.

Nuclear terrorists? Easy solution. Nuke the city before they do. Blame it on them and draw a nuclear slit trench through the middle of their country in retaliation. Next problem?

Reminds me of a game Al Gendron was running back in the middle 80's....to make a long story short the guy were chasing grabbed a guy as a hostage and then was heading for an escape because everyone in our team refused to take the shot in fear of killing the hostage.
So I shot the hostage.
Now that tactic has turned into the "standard" in most groups--I've even seen it in a handful of movies.

is to remove the hostage from the situation.

Dosen't that defeat the purpose of the standoff? Jesus, if your gonna cap the hostage, at least shoot the terrorist too! If you wanna get away with doing it, put the selector switch on "burst" and aim at the side of the hostages head. Or, you could just spray both their legs out then execute the terrorist.

I didn't say I capped the hostage, I said I shot him
In many games my primary weapon is "smaller" than most PC's back-up weapon.
