==Overview:==
In the days following the FedCom Cival War the need for opperational
battlemechs was at its highest. Both sides had pressed everything they coul
field into service, some planets even using utility equipment. Among these
gutted reserves where many different units, from malitia to training cadre
everything had to be fielded. So in the wake of the war many house training
Academies and Universities had no mechs in which to train future warriors.
Thats when Earthwerks Inc. began designs for a general purpose traineer to
sold outside the FWL.
==Capabilities:==
Using all the lessons of the past to design the Larare, Earthwerks has
created a versitile yet sturdy vehicle. Such venerable designs as the Chame
Battlemaster, Stinger, and many others where used to help form the core cha
design and its layout. This layout would be revised many times during the
development process but was soon settled on a 65 ton maximum weight limit.

Before final approval of the chassie design, work quickly began on
choosing the three most important componets of any military machine, armor,
weaponry, and manuverability. An average speed was decided upon but to incr
its field of application jump jets where also designed into the machine. Th
composition of the outter armor shell was eventualy narrowed down to the lo
produced Durallex Light, and the engineers decided on enough plating to cov
98% of the theoretical maximum. This formed the heart, bones, and skin of t
design. The only thing left was weaponry.
After weeks of debating the final weapons layout was decided upon. Th
layout contained a mixture of weapon types. From a PPC to a Short Range Mis
launcher. Each chosen to offer the largest degree of trainability from a si
design. And if weaponry wasn't enough the designers also added a electronic
package able to challenge even the Raven Recon mech. From a C3 link to an E
suite. Everything choosen with training in mind.
It is our opinion that while the Larare is heavier then most other
training vehicles it has the greatest degree of ability. Whether training R
Pilots to Front Line Warriors, it can cover it all. And with a price tag of
only a little more then 7.5 million it may quickly find its way into all ho
cadre's.
