Can someone here please point me to a source that covers this topic? I need to type a paragraph concerning why the U.S. should legalize drugs based solely on the economics of the situation, both concerning money and people. I have my argument all set, but I still need my bibliography source...

Shouldn't that work the other way? Aren't you supposed to actually read something before you spill out your opinion on this?

Try the NY Times site. Gangrene, if this is a HW assingment, his opinion might be regulated. I remember when I was a Sophmore in High School, my teacher made me give a speech that was pro slavery, and he made another girl do a speech that was anti slavery. I really had to work to make a good speech too, becuase, like most sane people, i'm anti slavery, but I had to make a good speech or i'd get an F. It was a very hard assingment, but very educational.

I already had the base argument down to a science, I've already read up on it in the past but I can't remember where: make them legal, they lose all street value, crime plummets, and self-responsibilty takes on a little more. In theory. Anyways, I found out I could do pro or con, so I just did "legalization is bad" and finished it.
