I have to admit the author is right, having verified it experimentally.
I follow about a dozen news sites to keep track of the war, and I have noticed I fail to understand what I'm reading, I just browse, but I don't process the info I read

Add to that another thing scientists have come up with, namely the number of different ideas you're capable of juggling at the same time. Usually no more than five or six, IIRC. If the article deals with too many subjects you might forget some before getting to the end.

That was very interesting, especially the part about the attention span . . . having something to do with a fish . . . and chips? . . . hey, theres lightning on the discovery channel.

That's probably becuase they entered the same article twice on the same page. Most likely, it was either an error or someone's attempt to hammer the point home.

It wasn't only twice. The article was repeated quite a few times (at least 4) and at the bottom it said

So It just kept going... and going... and going....
