Played in a Btech game the other week at a Con. Had 7 players, 4 ComStar and 3 Jade Falcon. This was taken from the Battle of Tukyaid. Not sure of the exact scenario name but Comstar starts on a bridge and hill next to a big lake, death if you go in. Jade Falcon comes in on a big bluff and half the force is at the waters edge.

I will not go through a line by line but the GM gave Jade Falcon some more punch. I feel the game was still unbalanced in favor of Comstar. I took the Thug, Assasin, and Champion. The Assasin was doomed. Everything out there outclassed the shit out of it.

First we had a small river to cross, Altas gets domed. My Champion who was right behind it but out of the water, gets domed the next round. Same guy with the same mech and the same ERPPC.

Thug made it across. The river was causign hell since all our 3/5 movers, Stalker, Awesome, were completely screwed, even the 4/6 Battlemaster and Blacknight had problems because they had to come down the hill and into the stream. That meant 1 round in the water.

My thug went across the only flat land. A few other mechs were makign their way across but it was a long range battle which was to the JF advantage. When I crossed Thug, I went to work. One thing to understand, the bluff is level 4 high, only jumper, my Assasin, plus a lot of clan mechs.

Muy Thug charged right in against the GLadiator that killed two mechs, and the Loki next to it in the woods. Gladitor was hurting due to concentrated long range fire. The Clanners were not following true rules of honor combat but not really concentrating either.

That spooked the hell out of them. I killed the Gladiator with SRM and went into physcial with the Loki. My cohorts laid in some fire and the Loki ran. My action gave the other Champion to get out of the prime fire attention and move around. So then I moved through the forest to get very close to a in good shape Daiashi.

At this time my Assasin jumped up on the bluff and played with the screaming hot Mad Cat, To say I got reall lucky and he missed a lot, but still let me feel the pain. We won iniative and my Assasin when last, teh Madcat moved back to the edge of teh bluff. I moved in to push. OK I do not remember Clan mechs so bare with me. I saw my chance, but I think it was an Uller pulled way off the line to take some long range shots...... it blew my arm off, no push. I was screwed.

Well the Clanners thought it was safer but knew I might try a moonwalk charge. So they backed from the edge. My Thug was mano on mano with the big Widow Maker. Champion has moved in and I was getting thrashed. But once again a little long range fire support was helping. But was more important, most Clanners were no longer covering the river, 4 more mechs made the dash in an effort to close in.

On top one mech, I think DragonFly or Ryoken, moved to the edge of the board. I charged with my Assasin. Screaming the word of Blake and calling on all my luck.... which I am not know for. The Target mech and Uller from previous lit me up. But I lived. One intact LL, 2 points IS RL, 2 points IS CT, and almost nil on the head. time to roll some dice..... But I made the guy wait. Take care of all other fire, get a drink, wait on everyone else, do the other physical attackes..... Bingo a 10. IT was beautiful, he rolled his damage location for me charging, CT. So my mech basically immolated itself on top of this mech. I know pushing off the board is a little chessy but the form was great. I said that poor clanner was in the middle of the Stackpole.

As for the Thug, he was a shambling mess. That very next round with no armor anywhere and tons of internals the Thug gots head blown off, and the Champion had 2 ammo bins go off. But the Daiashi went down...... 1 leg, and both arms gone, Gyro hit, plus overheating like a bitch.

The next two rounds the Loki and Mad Cat died. The tide turned due to my actions. By both sides I was voted the unamious best palyer. Kind of floated my boat. I lost all 3 mechs by changed the course of battle. My Champion never got in the battle. My Assasin took way to much attention and did way in excess of BV in damage.

AWAD- Suck death you Clanner sucm...... on the eptitaph of my piolts and with a big medal next to the grave

Hey AWAD,
My Bad, I was still feeling pretty ill from the night before, long story short all the Comstar Mech should have been 4 gunnery/ 5 piloting :/

I always plan a "small" scenario and a "large" scenario for a Con. You guys lucked out and got the "small" scenario P/G stats.

Food poisoing and GMing do not mix well
