For all of you visiting from the Heavy Metal Pro message boards you are already familiar with me and my project. I will summate my introduction for those who do not know:
Yes, I am writing up a Field Manual for a new clan, it is, of course an alternate-reality work, but I do draw published justification for the foxes' existance. On the last page of the battletech Grey Death Legion Scenario Pack 'Blood of Heroes' there is a mechforce NA signup sheet. One of the listed clans is 'clan fox' not sea fox. "The Clan Fox"
This was, of course before the decisions were made at fasa to finally set the names and number of the home clans, but having tried to sign up for Clan Fox, and finding that it was suddenly decided they just didn't exist; I took upon myself the role of Loremaster for this forgotten clan.
To this end, the historical overview, military practices and clan overview are completed and I am looking for a number of test editors to read it and make _constructive_ suggestions only. Also, I am not an expert in the naval aspects of the game and am still looking for someone to help fill in this blank part of the document.
Parties interested in receiving a copy of this Field Manual. Feel free to contact me to request it. Once the editing has been completed, it will be offered in it's full form (Complete with complete Touman listings, Specialized Omnimech configurations and sample Scenarios from the Clan's history.)
Thanks

I'm up for it depending on the file format that it is in.

Yes, A .PDF version is possible (thanks to the help of some ingenious software that makes printing to .PDF possible)
Out of curiosity ,is that the general concensus for the best format? _________________ "Slavish adherance to formal ritual indicates one has nothing better to think about." -Natahsa Kerensky

I believe so. I know it is widely used and well supported. I think most would prefer PDF since it also allows you to make it very pretty, if you choose to do so.

I don't have a full .PDF authoring suite, so I'm not sure how much extra I can do. But Star Office has produced at least a passable result. (I have a bit of intermixed graphics and some nifty tables. _________________ "Slavish adherance to formal ritual indicates one has nothing better to think about." -Natahsa Kerensky

Seriously though, sounds like a very kewl project.I would love to check it out when you get it finished.
My projects (of which I still have all the info you guys sent me) has gotten bogged down since my newest arrival in May. I promise to get it finished by Christmas though....really.

I must admit, I am rather interested in this work. The fox is my usual avatar. Might be why I get along so well with the Davions... Then again, I did start out a Kurita player in my first game. Then went to Steiner for my first year or so...since then it's been House Davion.
Enough babbling. I can give some basic naval advice if you really want. I would also not mind proofreading it and whatnot.

Is it too late for me to send in my profile? I know I'm about 6 months late for it, but I've been, um, busy with school. Yeah, I've been busy at school trying to graduate.

If this is directed to me, than no, it's not too late. I've always got room for more......

Yes, it was, sorry for not being more clear (I probably should have quoted your post).
Ok, I'll see if I can't find what I did with the profile and try to get it to you asap.
Thanks!

Count me in to proofread give advice etc. I have all kinds of nifty software on hand, compliments of my place of employment, so I might even be able to help with the "pretty PDF".
