"Currently, they are rumored to be working on a bolt-action rifle."

Never have I heard a more incorrect statement. Given Beckwood's rapid rise and high technology manufacturing techniques, we cannot overlook the fact that they may covertly controlled by Comstar. And given the inability of ROM to make heads of tails of anything they're trying do in R&D, I would suggest you increase your vigilance Precentor ROM. It would be a shame for you to retire at this date. Following is the CORRECT report from a 6th of June member. Peace of Blake be with you.

Precentor Martial Cameron St.Jaimas

Beckwood S2 AM: Our Order believed that Beckwood was working on a new bolt-action rifle, presumably to be marketed as a hunting tool. Clearly, we were wrong, and the mistake has been traced to a Comstar ROM operative, who later escaped. Currently, Beckwood is selling this anti-matter sniper rifle to the Federated Suns, Lyran Commonwealth, Free Rasalhague Republic and, worst of all, Comstar. The S2 AM is a miracle of design, instead of the standard “covert” sniper rifle, this rifle was meant to be used directly on the field of battle against ‘Mechs, vehicles and infantry leaders. Firing 14.5 mm armor-piercing discarding-sabot rounds, the S2 AM can take out anyone, anywhere. Gas operated and magazine fed, there is no bolt to work and the design is easy to fire from the shoulder and even while on the move. The rifle can be inaccurate when not aimed with the built in sight though, and the sight tends to narrow one’s vision. With this design, Beckwood has manufactured thousands upon thousands rounds, ensuring that even though the rifle and ammo are expensive, they are not rare. Perhaps the only downside is the fact that no effort was put towards trying to quiet the massive blast of the gun, or hide the huge muzzle flare. This can make snipers who use this gun an easy target if they miss.

No, anti-material. Anti-truck, anti-AFW, anti-'Mech... Not Anti-Matter/Matter kinda thing.

EDIT: Basically, it's meant to assinate 'Mechwarriors, when used against an infrantry man, it blows their upper torso into meaty chunks. Incredible overkill.

I got no idea, but the damage is about average when compared to the other rifle stats I've seen...I do know that it has the HIGHEST armor piercing value. Prolly a point of damage at its best and a chance at a critical hit in BT terms. Rough guess. Most likely just the crit roll, and only a BattleMech head hit. Vehicle hits are crit rolls too. Infantry is completely blown away.
