==Overview:==
Although still lacking an official designator, the unit has been nicknamed
"Weedwhacker" by those on the design staff. The primary intent of the unit is
as a VTOL that can stand up to infantry of all sorts as well as their
carriers.
The unit boasts twin LRM 5 racks as well as an SRM 6 rack. On the surface, the
LRM racks provide stand-off punch against the carriers and armored infantry,
while the SRM 6 rack allows decided power against the infantry themselves.
This is before one factors in the assorted available munitions such as Thunder
LRMs and Incindiary SRMs. In fact, it was apparently designed so that entire
flights would go around with at least one unit carrying nothing but specialty
missiles.
Hence the term, Weedwhacker.
==Variants:==
In keeping with the design principles behind the Kiowa and Defender, the
weapons can be easily traded out with other systems. The most common varient
involes stripping out one of the LRM launchers for either an SRM 2 or a
machine gun array. Another varient involves trading out the LRMs for SRM 4s
and loading the unit with nothing but incindiary missiles. Another one has the
SRM 6 traded out for an SRM 4 or an LRM 5 and a machine gun. An odd varient has the
unit mounting a single AC/5. Most likely, this is for taking out any units sent to
escort the infantry.
==Deployment==
Normal deployment is a one-to-one ratio. One unit will have Thunder LRMs and
normal SRMs, while another will have normal LRMs and Incindiary SRMs. This
way, each unit can still fight once its specialty munitions are expended.

The armour is a tad thin you might want to consider using FF you will gain 8 points that way and I know that people tend to like machines at the low end of the price scale here but a fusion engine would free up tonnage that could be used for more armour or you can kick up the speed.

This time around, I deliberately wanted to keep in with the cheapness factor. But don't worry, I have a few jobs that are still in the back of my files and have all those little toys on them.
Besides, I like this mix. It fits the job almost perfectly and I have a funny story behind the name.

It is not a bad design the missle armament is well balanced and the speed is good dispite the I.C.E. It would work well against light forces add a few mechs to the mix though...
