OVERVIEW
One of the most common designs fielded by the Star League, the Black Knight populates several Clans’ Second-Line clusters, most notably the Wolf Clan. It appears that the Clans have gone to the effort of upgrading the 'Mech to meet with Clan specifications, resulting in a machine that is capable of fighting at twice the range of the original, whilst at the same time inflicting almost 30% more damage and accumulating only half as much heat. The Clan Black Knight is a fearsome sight to behold.
CAPABILITIES
As outlined above, the Clan Black Knight mounts a sophisticated weapons array, by far superior to even the Com Guard’s BLK-9-KNT upgrade. The Clans have also replaced its armour with Ferro-Fibrous plating, resulting in the 'Mech carrying full armour for its size. Like most IIC designs, the Clan Black Knight simply replaces its loadout with the equivalent Clan technology. Although it is certainly an effective design, the Black Knight IIC will present few surprises when encountered in the field.
DEPLOYMENT
The Black Knight IIC is concentrated within the Wolf Clan, though all of the Clans would certainly have some scattered throughout their Second-Line Touman.
MY BLURB
*BOOOOOORING*. In my defence, I couldn’t really do anything to the Black Knight and still have the ‘Black Knight IIC’. Attempts to copy the awesome BLK-9-KNT resulted in far too much heat for its coolant circuit to cope with and far to little firepower at its disposal. In the end, I had to leave it like this. Although, the experimental model with Heavy Lasers (included below) proved an interesting little piece of equipment. Just watch the heat.
